JimmyD Refreshing. Something old, new and fucking good! Dominator has the tribal leanings of Killing Joke and the lyrical sparsity of Pink Flag era Wire. Russ Bestley's vocals are like a mix of Jaz Coleman and Bob Mould, which is showcased on Underground, which is Husker Du-esque! Republic returns to a Killing Joke style with some incredible drumming from 'Big' Paul Luce that would give Ferguson and Dale Crover a run for their money. Original punk. Up Pompey! Favorite track: Republic.

Track Name: Underground
Something old – something new
Something borrowed and something blue
Something lost – something found
Something buried – underground

Where I was lost
And she was found

Bury it deep
Bury it deep where it can’t be found
Track Name: Paint A Picture
And when I die
I will be waiting here for you
And if you try
I will make all your dreams come true
Don’t ever lie to me
My words will always follow you
And when you die
I will paint a picture of you

And I will smile
I’ve waited all my life for this
And all the while
You were just looking for a kiss
I said I’d try
You said just come to bed
Well I just smiled
No one loves you when you’re dead

And when I die
I will be waiting here for you
And if you try
A thousand wishes will come true
Don’t ever lie to me
My words will always follow you
And when you die
I will paint a picture of you
Track Name: Republic
Meritocratic = Simplistic
Ecstatic = Idealistic
Apolitical, losing the will to
Fight the power when the subject needs to

Object to all that rhetoric
Propaganda to fool the public
Fetch the medic! Anaesthetic!
Working for the new Republic

Birthright = Atone
No feelings left alone
Neglect to show respect
Use your privilege to select

No monarchy no subject
No church no state no land
Once private now public
Working for the new Republic

Peace time = More willful
Expectant and sinful
Still caustic and critical
Regain the right of the individual

No monarchy no subject
Their privilege be damned
Once private now public
Working for the new Republic
Track Name: WYD
You’re standing on the inside looking at the sky
To watch the sun go down
I’m standing on the outside waiting for a chance
To watch you drown
